Denise Richards Kids: Actress Willing to Take Permanent Custody of Mueller's Twins

Denise Richards is reportedly ready, willing, and able to take permanent custody of Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen's twin boys, Bob and Max. The boys have been living with Richards for the past two months, after child protective services removed the twins from Mueller's home.

Richards "is prepared to tell the judge she would love to keep the boys permanently," a friend told Radar Online. "Denise has been essentially raising the boys since last summer, and she loves the boys as if they were her own."

While Mueller desperately wants her boys back, Sheen apparently wants them to stay with Richards, and will support her at an upcoming custody hearing.

"It would be in the boys' best interest to remain with Denise Richards permanently, according to Charlie. He will tell the judge he wants the boys to stay in Denise's home for good. His reason is a very simple one: Brooke's drug addiction precludes her from taking care of the boys," another source told Radar.

Mueller may not have a say in the matter. She recently quit living at a sober facility and left the rehab program altogether. Mueller is no longer being routinely drug tested, which has child protective services concerned and Sheen "furious."

"Brooke says she is still getting outpatient treatment at a clinic in San Jan Capistrano, but she isn't being randomly drug tested. Social workers are preparing a report for the judge in child dependency court and are going to recommend that Brooke's parental rights be terminated, immediately," the friend said.

Mueller's actions prompted Sheen to file legal papers to terminate the $55,000 payments he makes for child support. He had supported her during the last two months, but moving away from the facility was apparently the last straw for Sheen.

Richards allegedly told Sheen she "would absolutely love to keep the boys permanently. Bob and Max love living with their sisters, Sam and Lola, and with Denise's adopted daughter, Eloise. The boys are absolutely thriving in Denise's house. She is a great mom."
