'Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris' News: On the Level Caps, Release Date, and Story of the DLC

Developed by Bungie, "Destiny 2" garnered the attention of the gaming community, which boosted the game title up to be one of the best to be released this year. Lauded for its universe, gameplay, and visuals, the developers seems to be determined to ride their momentum as the first downloadable content (DLC) for "Destiny 2" has received a release date and new details. "Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris" is expected to raise the game's level cap.

According to reports, the information was shared by game publisher Activision and Bungie, and they have revealed that the raised level cap will be applied to the standard player level and the Power level. As such, fans of "Destiny 2" will be able to reach level 25, Power level 300, and Power level 335 through mods. This reflects the raised level cap as players were only previously only allowed to reach level 20, Power level 300, and Power level 305, respectively.

Furthermore, "Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris" is expected to feature a new female Ghost named Sagira, who will be voiced by "Deadpool" actress Morena Baccarin. Brother Vance from the first installment of the series will also be making a comeback.

"Our story begins after conclusion of Destiny 2's campaign," executive producer Nya Shirzad told The Telegraph. "Ikora Rey sends you to Mercury on a mission to find Osiris, the most powerful warlock ever known, and to discover the answers humanity needs to fight back against the Vex. This is the first time we've been able to dig into the Vex and their backstory with players so there's a whole lot to learn about the Vex in Curse of Osiris, what they've been up to and how to stop them from doing it."

"Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris" is scheduled to be released on Dec. 5 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
