'Destiny 2' Faction Rally News: How to Farm Tokens and Which Faction to Choose
The second Faction Rally event of "Destiny 2" has begun. Fans have reportedly found an exploit to get Tokens and that the decision to which faction they will choose has become harder than ever.
The new exploit was discovered when the 2.1.0.6 update for "Destiny 2" rolled out. GameSpot reports that one of the major changes was the removal of the Tokens that were previously given to players who successfully destroyed the resources of the enemy in Lost Sectors. Instead, Tokens can be earned when Fireteams open a chest in the Lost Sector. This was meant to prevent farming, but it seems that it might not be working so well.
Fans discovered that if gamers pay a visit to the Winding Cove, killing the boss would unlock the chest and allow them to claim their Tokens. However, once they reach far enough to the nearest exit and the "Winding Cove" text pops up, they can turn back to the chest and claim the rewards without having to defeat the boss. This has been found to be effective for an indefinite number of times.
Meanwhile, Polygon has pointed out that the selection of which Faction to join has gotten more complicated than ever. Dead Orbit offers a far-reaching grenade that should be useful in combating high-level raids. New Monarchy is enticing members with Honor's Edge, which allows players to make good use of the melee weapons in a player versus environment setting. Future War Cult has the Timelines' Vertex, which, in this case, the name of the rifle is enough to turn some heads.
Although the decision needs to be made soon and gamers will have to start grinding for Tokens, the same rules apply to the second Faction Rally of "Destiny 2." That is, the winning team can purchase weapons for 1,000 glimmer, while the rest will have to shell out 50,000. The Faction Rally of "Destiny 2" will run from Nov. 7 to Nov. 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
