'Destiny 2' Gameplay News: Bungie Previews Game Improvements Currently in the Works
Game developer Bungie has recently announced what are the game improvements that players expect to be added to "Destiny 2" soon.
At Bungie's most recent weekly update, the "Destiny 2" developer addressed its community to dish out the game updates their team is currently working on and should be released in upcoming patches.
The weekly update hinted on making "Destiny 2" a game that will present new ways to challenge and reward players.
Game director Christopher Barrett was quoted in the blog post saying, "We're still planning when a bunch of the improvements listed below are going to make their way into the game, but we wanted to let you know what we're up to."
On top of Barrett's list is the introduction of "new systems and rewards" that will be given to "Destiny 2's" "most engaged players." The game director also promised that players can expect "better incentives" for completing Prestige challenges as well as for every strike, adventure, and Lost Sector they will accomplish.
While winning Crucible matches will also means better rewards soon, Barrett also promised they will add sanctions for players who leaves the competitions before finishing them. The developer also confirmed that they will improve tuning and spawning rules for Crucible games.
Bungie is also continuously working to enhance the mechanics of Iron Banner and Faction Rallies by "including uniqueness of rewards."
Barrett also hinted that players will soon have more buying options for their Legendary Shards — the in-game currency used to purchase Exotics from weekly merchant Xur. Meanwhile, Barrett also promised they are improving the release of Exotics "to reduce instances of duplication."
"Destiny 2" players can also expect to see a new emote interface where they can "equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time."
Meanwhile, Barrett also confirmed that private matches are in the pipeline; however, they will go live sometime in 2018.
"Destiny 2" is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
