'Destiny 2' Latest News: Weekly Reset to Bring in New Nightfall Strike and More

"Destiny 2" activities and rewards, the coveted, high-level ones in particular, are capped at once a week for each character. Players look forward to the weekly reset to get their next chance, and this week, it changes up the Nightfall Strike event and other rewards.

Tuesdays are a special day for "Destiny 2" fans, as this is the day that the in-game events and rewards are refreshed for another week's set of attempts at securing them. The last reset was on Oct. 17, with the game doing the reset at the usual time of 5 a.m. EDT, according to Euro Gamer.

The reset takes effect on all "Destiny 2" servers worldwide, which means this Tuesday's reset went off at 2 a.m. PDT in the West Coast, and 11 a.m. CEST in Europe.

For this week, the rotation has set the new Nightfall Strike, called "Exodus Crash," in the Aracadian Valley. Eververse also refreshed their inventory, offering new gear for the right price this week, according to GameSpot.

"Exodus Crash" is not just a relocated Nightfall Strike, either. For this week, two event modifiers will take effect, called Timewarp: Rings and Prism.

The first one adds huge, glowing rings that players can jump through during the course of the mission. Passing through one of these circles grant another 30 seconds to the timer, giving players a better chance at finishing the Strike within the time limit.

The other modifier, Prism, adds an interesting buff with a drawback. In a Strike run, having the Prism modifier means that one of the three elements will do more damage than usual to enemies, but the other two elements will have their effect diminished. Players are notified which of the three elements, chosen one after the other, is currently buffed.

Finishing the Nightfall Strike grants powerful gear as a reward, but the map that it takes place on, Exodus Crash in Arcadian Valley, could only be done in time at a Power level of about 240 or more. Players looking to get gear elsewhere can visit Cayde, who's offering new treasure maps this week.
