'Destiny 2' News: Everything to Know About the Leviathan Raid
Since it was released earlier this month, "Destiny 2" has amassed the following from new and old fans. Critics were mostly happy with it, and fans are excited for more things to come.
Recent reports have revealed that game developer Bungie is just about ready to launch the first raid called Leviathan.
The Leviathan Raid for "Destiny 2" will begin on Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. EDT. Considering that raids were first seen in the gameplay of "Destiny," fans are expecting it to feature the most challenging and rewarding experience that can only be seen after the campaign.
"Destiny 2" game director Luke Smith has turned to social media to reveal that the Power range needed to join the Leviathan Raid is 260 to 280.
Another challenge that gamers of "Destiny 2" will encounter is that they should be part of a team to play. This is mainly because raids are not known to have support for matchmaking technology, which means that it would be beneficial for players to be part of a clan. To provide some comfort in the face of the challenge, the game developers are gearing up to release a Guided Games feature, which will allow players to connect and form a team with strangers.
"For Guided Games to have a successful launch, we need time for enough players to form into real Clans and be ready to guide other Guardians. If there are too many solo Seekers and not enough Clan Guides, the queues for matching will be quite long," game developer Bungie said in a statement, as reported by Express.
In order to ensure that the Guided Games succeed in giving the developers the information they need to improve it, Bungie will be releasing it as a limited access "soft beta." They will be picking out a select number of solo players who will get a firsthand experience of the Guided Games on Sept. 12.
"Destiny 2" is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
