'Destiny 2' News: What Players Can Expect From Season 2

Numerous new items will be made available during Season 2

Seasons are going to significantly impact how players will be able to experience "Destiny 2." And just recently, developers revealed some of the things that are going to be featured in the game's second season.

The new details were revealed by some folks from Bungie during TwitchCon, and it seems like Season 2 will be quite interesting.

First off, the developers shared that "The Dawning" in-game event was making a comeback.

Players were able to experience "The Dawning" when it first went live for the original "Destiny." Back then, it brought back the Sparrow Racing League and also gave players some gifts.

This year's edition of "The Dawning" is going to be a little different, as some minigames will be made accessible during the event. To be more specific, players will be able to participate in snowball fights and even hockey matches, Polygon reported.

Season 2 will also feature a significant change for Faction Rally. While the second season is ongoing, "Destiny 2" players can receive pieces of armor when they act as representatives of the faction they belong to.

It is not just new pieces of faction armor that players will be able to obtain over the course of Season 2.

A bunch of new cosmetic items are expected to be made available once the second season gets underway. Among the things that players can get are new ships, sparrows, ghosts, and there is even a new emote set to be introduced.

If players find any Season 2 cosmetic items to their liking, they will then want to try to obtain those now. As Kotaku reported, many of the new cosmetic items are available only during specific seasons, so players need to try getting them as soon as possible.

A new Crucible map is also expected to be to go live during Season 2.

An exact start date for Season 2 has not been provided just yet, though "Destiny 2" players should be able to hear more about it soon enough.
