'Destiny 2' PS4 Pro Crashing Issue Now Being Investigated By Sony And Bungie
Sony and Bungie have officially acknowledged the problems plaguing "Destiny 2" on the PlayStation 4 Pro. Both companies say that they are now looking into the source of the issue and are actively working on finding a fix.
After many players found themselves unable to play the game due to server errors, a new problem has arisen. Several players have reported a PS4 crash error that began popping up and has since reached out to Bungie for an answer.
The game's developer posted on its forums recognizing the error, coded CE-34787-0, which causes the system to crash. They also noted that a number of "Destiny 2" players were able to reduce the times it has happened by turning off the HDCP settings on their console.
The game's help page which was launched back in April also offers a number of other solutions such as updating firmware, reinstalling the console's original hard drive if it's swapped it out, or formatting the system. However, turning off the HDCP seems to be the most effective way in fixing the problem.
However, this is still a temporary solution so they are now working with Sony to find a lasting fix. It doesn't matter how good a game is, nobody wants to play a game only for it to crash time and time again.
As of the moment, it appears that the issue has yet to be resolved with Bungie along a message from Sony's support account on Twitter stating that there is no word regarding when the error will be resolved. Coupled with a number of other issues from both the servers as well as in-game, it wasn't much of a smooth launch. Nevertheless, this has not affected the game's popularity as it recently surpassed 1.2 million concurrent players online.
"Destiny 2" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC.
