'Destiny 2' Rumors: Exact Release Date Possibly Leaked by Marketing Materials
Possible release date leak points to 'Destiny 2' being made available on Sept. 8
"Destiny 2" is expected to be released this year, that much is confirmed. However, an exact date for when that eagerly anticipated event may happen has not been announced just yet, though it may have been leaked already.
A recent report from the Italian website Lega Network has been drawing plenty of attention as it features an image of what looks to be some kind of poster for the upcoming sequel.
Interesting as the different characters featured in the poster may be, they are not really what most fans are paying attention to. By looking at the top of the image, fans will quickly see that there is a date included, a specific one at that, and it seems to suggest that the game being shown below is set to come out on Sept. 8.

Unsurprisingly, the people behind the sequel have yet to say anything with regards to the poster and the possible release date it assigns to "Destiny 2," but there are reasons to believe that the date included may actually be an official one.
As Polygon pointed out, September has been an important month for "Destiny," with major expansions released within this month previously and even the first game itself hit stores on Sept. 9.
It does not seem all that surprising if the sequel ends up following in the footsteps of the original and also receives a September release date.
Whenever it does come out, "Destiny 2" is rumored to bring some new elements into the fold, starting with a new, overarching narrative and engine improvements, according to an earlier NeoGAF post from noted tipster "shinobi602."
There have also been rumblings that the sequel may also be made available for PC players to finally get into, though the developers have yet to confirm this.
