'Destiny' King's Fall Raid Golgoroth: Bungie Hints at 'Ramping Up' Difficulty in Second Challenge

Tuesday is here, and for the "Destiny" community this means a reset is in order, as well as the reveal of the second King's Fall Raid challenge, Golgoroth. Bungie has teased that Golgoroth will definitely be harder than the first challenge, The Warpriest.

"For those wondering if the challenge will ramp up at Golgoroth, let us know what you think next week," said DeeJ, who is David Dague in real life, Bungie's community manager, during the recent Bungie Weekly Update.

In the King's Fall Raid Challenge Modes, a different boss will offer a challenge every week. This challenge requires players to defeat the boss in a very specific manner.

The previous challenge, The Warpriest, was mostly viewed as an easy one, although many players took it on if only for the loot. According to Bungie, there are more than 300,000 players who have unlocked the Worm Gods' Servant emblem, one of the rewards of the challenge. In addition to the emblem, being successful in the raid meant Guardians will get 310 Light in King's Fall Normal and 320 in King's Fall Hard.

And the rewards don't end there, too. Players who have not yet accepted the King's Fall Raid challenge, or even those who already have, will get more chances to win additional loot each week as Bungie will be rolling out three optional challenges.

In addition to teasing Golgoroth, Dague also announced Update 2.1.0, which has already started rolling out this week. The update makes some changes to the classes with the goal of buffing up the other subclasses against the overpowering Sunbreaker Titan class.

As for the upcoming Golgoroth challenge, it is expected to roll out along with Tuesday's reset. After this follows the third King's Fall Raid challenge, Oryx, expected to come Tuesday next week.
