'Destiny': Numerous HotFix 2.5.0.2 Details Revealed, Shotguns and Some Subclasses To Be Changed

HotFix 2.5.0.2 is set to be released for 'Destiny' on Feb. 14

It may not be the feature-filled update "Destiny" players were hoping to see earlier this year, but the upcoming HotFix 2.5.0.2 is still set to bring numerous changes to the game once it is officially released.

"Mercules904" posted many of the patch details that were revealed during a recent developer livestream over on the r/DestinyThe Game Subreddit.

According to the posted details, different weapons are expected to be altered quite significantly via the new patch, and among those that are getting nerfed are shotguns.

Magnetism and in-air accuracy for the shotguns have been nerfed. Precision damage on legendary shotguns will also be done away with. Whether these changes will be enough to entice players to use other weapons more often remains to be seen.

For those players who may want to give other weapon types a try once HotFix 2.5.0.2 is rolled out, they should probably check out the auto rifles and hand cannons - two weapon types that are also being adjusted by the upcoming patch.

The different "Destiny" subclasses are also being tweaked in this new patch.

The Bladedancer's Hungering Blade and Blink will be changed, and there may be additional alterations for the latter that have not been detailed just yet.

The Stormcaller subclass will be adjusted as well, with its charged melee range reduced. The Landfall perk is also expected to decrease Stormtrance duration once HotFix 2.5.0.2 has been applied.

Other notable changes expected to be included in HotFix 2.5.0.2 are some tweaks for exotics. Specifically, the Young Wolf's Howl, the Universal Remote and the Truth are all apparently set to be adjusted via the new patch, but exactly how they will be changed remains unclear at this point.

It's possible that there may be other changes coming that have not been detailed just yet, though players should be able to learn more about what exactly HotFix 2.5.0.2 has to offer in the very near future, as it is already set to be released for "Destiny" on Feb. 14.
