'Destiny' News: Support for Game to Remain in Place for the 'Foreseeable Future'

'New challenges to master' still waiting for 'Destiny' players, according to Bungie

With "Destiny 2" now official, some players may think that the currently available "Destiny" will no longer get any attention from the developers. However, the people over at Bungie have indicated that this will not be the case.

Speaking recently to GamesRadar, Bungie community manager David "DeeJ" Dague shared that support for the current instalment of the franchise is not concluding just yet.

According to "DeeJ," while they are already set to celebrate the "conclusion of the adventure" of the game, that does not necessarily mean that support will come to a screeching halt.

Specifically, "DeeJ" shared that support will still be provided for the game for the "foreseeable future."

In a recent post on Bungie.net, "DeeJ" also teased that there are still "new challenges to master" for players even as they wait patiently to hear more about what "Destiny 2" will bring to the table.

Unfortunately, there was not much else revealed other than that, so players will just have to stay tuned to learn more about when these future additions may be introduced to the game.

As players continue to wait for more details regarding the future "Destiny" additions, they can still go ahead and try out the new features added via the "Age of Triumph" update.

Notable additions included in the update are new and reprised quests as well as updated Raids.

There are also new pieces of equipment introduced via the "Age of Triumph" update, and attempting to collect these should keep players preoccupied for at least a while longer.

One more thing, as "DeeJ" also shared, the currently available game is also not expected to go away even after the release of its follow-up, with the community manager mentioning that it will still "be there for players."

More news about "Destiny" should be made available in the near future.
