'Destiny' November Patch News, Details: Big Update Slated To Hit 'Before Thanksgiving'
Following the release of Patch 2.0.1.2 earlier this week for the hit shooter video game, "Destiny," Bungie has announced yet another update to once again address the remaining issues that plagued the game. The fix is expected to roll out in November, more specifically "before Thanksgiving."
Several people working behind the popular game went to Bungie.net to offer hints of what to expect when Patch 2.0.2 arrives.
Design Lead Lars Bakken, on his part, particularly pointed out the adjustments for the Iron Banner rewards system. The designer recognizes the frustrations felt by the players over the reward drops after the 2.0.1 update.
When the team looked for the problem, they discovered "a nasty bug that affected how Legendary drops happen throughout the Crucible, including Iron Banner," Bakken said.
"We're working hard to ensure that the next Iron Banner will work as intended, and be even better than before. These changes will make your entire Crucible career more rewarding," Bakken added.
Senior Designer Andrew Weldon, on the other hand, addressed the issue concerning the Bounties.
Weldon divulged that they have identified a few among the dozens of Bounties in "The Taken King" to not be doing what they wanted them to be doing. He said that it is their priority to address "some bounties that are too hard to complete, demand too much carnage at once, or put too much requirement on other players." It is also their goal to implement more improvement on the Bounty offerings, not just on the upcoming update but in the future of the franchise as well.
As for the rest of the aspects of the game, Weldon stated that the Bungie team will constantly be on the lookout for any feedback from the players concerning the necessary fixes as well as areas in which the game can continue to improve.
Stay tuned for more updates.
