'Destiny' Rumors: Numerous Leaks Point to 'Plague of Darkness' and 'The Taken King'
In the run-up to the E3 2015, a lot of online buzz is going around about what new content first-person shooter "Destiny" will have in store for the game's fans. Bungie, the game developer, recently released the game's second expansion pack "The House of Wolves" and fans are still trying to go through the new content. The recent expansion pack however disappointed some fans because of the lack of "raids" which "Destiny" is known for.
In a report in Tech Times, it is rumored that Bungie is planning something big at the E3 2015. According to the report's sources, a leaked photo has been circulating the Internet as proof that Bungie may announce the game's third expansion pack during E3. The photo shows an image during an internal Bungie presentation which was labeled "Plague of Darkness" and is said to be the third expansion pack for the game.
Insider information also suggested that this pack will be "bigger than other expansion packs," which can also be considered "Destiny 1.5." The new pack is rumored to include a third sub-class for Guardians, 12 new Story missions, two new weapon types, a new Raid (which is much awaited), new Strikes as well as a big increase in level cap for the game.
In a related story which may hint at this new content development, Bungie recently shared that they have gotten High Moon Studios to do "side work" on "Destiny" which can be on "anything from character and gear design to full level creation."
According to another report in Tech Times, another rumored leak about the coming expansion pack says that it will be called "The Taken King." The leak, this time around is courtesy of a promotional material of Red Bull, an energy drink. The promo material points to a website where buyers can go and get "bonus XP and epic quest" in "Destiny - The Taken King." The report says that the website is legitimate.
Bungie has not made official announcements after all these leaks came out. Fans may have to wait until E3 to get any.
