'Destiny The Dark Below' DLC for PS4 Release Date Arrives, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 Fans Ecstatic
"The Dark Below," the first major expansion for Bungie's shooter game "Destiny", was officially released this week for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles.
The add-on, which was sold at a price of $20, has been released in North America and Europe in various consoles and it offers new story missions, items, maps, residents, raids and more.
Details and tips that have appeared online are saying that players should look to a new resident in the game, NPC vendor Eris Morn at the main plaza. Eris is selling new items, such as shaders, cloaks, emblems, warlock bonds and more, and is also offering special missions and items.
Players can also look forward to being able to customize their Guardian with new armor, gear and weapons; look to three new competitive maps, The Cauldron, Pantheon and Skyshock; a new cooperative Strike at The Will of Crota; and more.
Other new additions and features include the ATS/8 Arachnid, which allows Hunters to zoom in on their targets while they're aiming; a new Glasshouse that gives players extra staying power thanks to the Blessing of Light; the ability to swap between Solar and Arc damage thanks to the Murmur fusion rifle; and more.
A new weapon, the Necrochasm, has also been introduced, which allows for precision kills; three primary missions that the player can indulge in, like The Wakening, The Seeding and The Veil Lifted; the new Crota's End, which is a six-player Raid; and more.
The "Dark Below" DLC initially experienced problems when players who purchased the game found themselves locked out of the base game because of a bug that attached itself to the countdown timer.
A "Dark Below" DLC countdown timer appeared on the player's screen, but when they tried to bypass the timer, they found themselves unable to get past it and go back to the "Destiny" game. However, some players were able to remedy the situation by deleting and re-installing the "Destiny" game to bypass the timer.
