'Destiny' Update Release Date: New Patch Fixes Bugs

Bungie had introduced a major patch into the game Monday this week which brings a lot of additional content alongside changes and fixes in preparation for the coming of the expansion, "The Dark Below" on Dec. 9. Patch 1.1 details were jotted down on the dev's official blog.

One of the major changes included in the patch is that Exotic weapons have received a buff in stats.

Ascendant Energy and Ascendant Shards are no longer required when upgrading Exotic weapons and armor and will only now require the new Exotic Shards.

The Exotic Shards can be obtained by either dismantling any unwanted Exotic weapons and armor or can be purchased from Xur for 7 Strange Coins.

Raids have also received fixes. An issue where Atheon did not properly send 3 players through the time gates were fixed as well as an exploit where a Templar could be thrown off the platform were also fixed. Destination Materials can now be acquired from completing Daily Heroics and Daily Patrol Bounties.

Vending has also changed with the release of the patch. Cryptarch reputation gain from Engrams have been reduced but the reputation reward packages have a higher chance to drop Legendary Engrams. Vanguard Marks and Crucible Marks can now be used to purchase Spinmetal, Relic Iron, Spirit Bloom, and Helium Filaments from the Vanguard and Crucible Quartermasters in the Tower.

Faction Class Items have also now been replaced by Faction Emblems in the rank-up reward packages from the Faction Vendors.

Among technical changes, networking fixes have been introduced to reduce the instances of the Bee family of KTO's as well as an issue where using the Xbox One party chat induced a slower frame rate. The whole patch list can be seen on Bungie's website for a more technical rundown of the changes made with the weapons.
