As they are still considered a rebuilding team, the young Pistons squad has certainly looked like they are ready to take on the big teams in the league.
They certainly showed it in their first match when they faced last year's team with the best record in the East, the Atlanta Hawks.
Detroit made light work of the Hawks as they beat them 106-94 behind an 18-point, 19-rebound performance by Andre Drummond.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the way with 21 points and Detroit outrebounded Atlanta 59-40 to get the win.
After that win, they welcomed the Utah Jazz and won a gritty game 92-87.
Drummond had another double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Reggie Jackson had 19 points and four assists.
Five Pistons players scored in double figures to show that they can distribute the points evenly to get the win.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are slowly looking like a solid team after back-to-back wins over Eastern Conference rivals.
They started their campaign against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers where they won 97-95.
Nikola Mirotic had a great game with 19 points and nine rebounds as he shot 3-of-4 from beyond the arc.
Pau Gasol had a tough night in the offensive end but made up by blocking six shots – including one in the dying seconds of the game which could have tied the score.
In the next game, they faced the Brooklyn Nets and had little trouble dispatching their rivals as they won 115-100.
Jimmy Butler had 24 points and six assists, while Derrick Rose had 15 points to help the squad.
This should be another interesting match with one team getting their first loss of the season.
