'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' News: Square Enix Presents Shocking Live Action Trailer
Fans are excited to hear more about the upcoming installment of "Deus EX" after Square Enix revealed a teaser for the game.
A live-action trailer was recently released to give fans a sneak peek into "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided." It presented a live-action teaser that brings a relevant perspective towards the events of the game.
The teaser showed that the story will be set in the year 2027. It will continue the story of the previously released title "Deus Ex: Human Revolution." The game will explore the happenings of a world wide conflict that brings divides the humankind. It brings the question of technology and how it affects culture and way of living. It brings two groups in controversy, the "Augs" and the "Naturals."
However, the problems arise when hackers were able to control the "Augs," forcing them to suddenly attack other. The game will challenge players by placing them right in the middle of the happenings. With that, players will learned how to take action, be stealthy, hack others, and converse.
Gameplay director Patrick Fortier previously spoke about their vision for the game. He said, "How do we make that a little more visceral? A little bit more reactive so you can use a lot of these things really fluidly into combat? There's a lot of work put into that. Even the low-level stuff like how we frame the weapon and what's the recoil and the muzzle flash and all those little things that make it feel right."
In addition, he revealed that the setting will greatly influence the game. He said, "But also moving through the environment, cover to cover, or doing takedowns from cover -- all these things so you never have to start fighting with the controller to do what you want to do and to push a little further from Human Revolution."
Aside from the trailer, fans are waiting to hear more about the upcoming game as this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) approaches. According to Game Informer, Square Enix is expected to present a Pre-E3 Showcase on Stream.
It was stated that Square Enix is not the only game developer to detach from the popular game expo. Other big names in the gaming industry, such as EA, are also hosting their own events instead of joining E3. "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided" will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Aug. 23.
