'Diablo 3': Closed Beta Test for Necromancer Character Class Coming Soon
All of the Necromancer's abilities and skills will be made accessible during upcoming 'Diablo 3' closed beta
"Diablo 3" players will soon be able to try out life inside the game as a Necromancer. And while an exact date for when this new character class will be fully released has not been announced just yet, there is still a closed beta for them to look forward to.
Developers announced that the closed beta is "right around the corner," though not all players will be able to take part in it.
Instead, invitations will be sent out to players who have opted in to beta-testing via their accounts.
Participants in the closed beta will be selected based on how active they are, their system specifications and even just plain old luck.
The invitations will also be sent by email, though it is still unclear just how many of them will be delivered to players.
"Diablo 3" players who are fortunate enough to be chosen as a beta tester can expect to be given full access to the Necromancer's complete array of abilities and skills.
Some of the Necromancer's skills were revealed previously by the developers in a Battle Net post.
Among the skills previewed were the Grim Scythe and Leech. The Necromancer will also be capable of summoning a Blood Golem that can handle the dirty work that players do not want to be bothered with.
Developers also advised players that since the Necromancer is still being developed, there may be some things that are changed over the course of testing and in the lead up to this character class being released in full.
Some of the other features included in Patch 2.6.0 are also expected to be included in the closed beta testing.
At this point in time, a specific date for the full release of "Diablo 3" is not known just yet, but developers have previously noted that they are looking to make this new character class available sometime during the second half of the year.
