'Diablo 3': Preliminary Notes For Patch 2.6.0, Necromancer Closed Beta Revealed

Closed beta test for 'Diablo 3's' Necromancer character class is now underway

Some "Diablo 3" players can now see for themselves how the Necromancer character class works inside the game, as the closed beta testing for this addition has now begun.

Developers detailed the different skills at the Necromancer's disposal in a new Battle Net post, revealing that this character benefits from using "the power of blood, bone, curses and hordes of obedient minions."

Among the notable skills of the Necromancer is Siphon Blood, a move that is capable of dealing significant damage while at the same providing a nice bit of healing.

Another move known as Bone Spear is capable of inflicting massive amounts of damage to enemies unfortunate enough to be standing in its way.

The Decrepify curse is one the Necromancer can cast to slow down and weaken an opponent over a set amount of time.

"Diablo 3's" Necromancer is also capable of raising numerous skeleton fighters and golems that can help in battles.

While the Necromancer is likely the game addition most players are focused on, the newest closed beta patch also comes with some other noteworthy additions.

In a separate Battle Net post, developers revealed that new Challenge Rifts have now been added to the game.

Closed beta participants should also find that there are new zones to explore in Adventure Mode. Specifically, The Moors and The Temple of the Firstborn are the ones included in the patch and these can be reached via a newly added waypoint present on the Act 2 map.

Players may also see that Act 4 now features four additional waypoints and each one of these will present them with bounties.

Developers have also reminded players that changes may still be made moving forward when it comes to Patch 2.6.0, so they may want to stay tuned to hear about anything new that may emerge.

More news about "Diablo 3" and the ongoing closed beta test should be made available soon.
