Dialogue From Jurassic Park Is Inspiration For 'Jurassic World 2', Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard To Return
"Jurassic World 2" will go back to the original 1993 film, "Jurassic Park," for inspiration and will focus on the much larger issue of the dynamics of the human-dinosaur relationship. The major inspirations for the "Jurassic World" franchise are pieces of dialogue spoken by the characters of Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum from the "Jurassic Park" series of films.
Director Colin Trevorrow revealed the dialogue he and co-writer Derek Connolly will be looking at to develop the "Jurassic World 2" theme. On the "Jurassic Cast Podcast," Trevorrow stated that they will be basing the sequel on character Alan Grant's (Sam Neill) dialogue from the first film. The dialogue he's referring to goes, "Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution, have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?"
About the sequel, Trevorrow said, "It's about using this as a starting point for a much larger story about our relationship with these animals, and with animals in general, and the dynamic created by bringing them back to life."
Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) will be top-lining the sequel and it seems Claire is going to have an interesting character development arc over the expected trilogy.
Trevorrow told podcast listeners. "Even though Claire is the one who evolves the most over the trilogy, it's her story that mirrors this changing world ... The two of them opened Pandora's Box in 'Jurassic World,' and each of them are responsible for different elements of it in different ways."
But will Claire fight dinosaurs with high heels? Surprisingly, the subject of Claire's heels is sometimes a topic of discussion when people are talking about "Jurassic World" because in the movie, she was escaping and gunning down dinosaurs in high heels. People had criticized her character being in high heels throughout the action packed movie.
Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays Claire in the movie, is surprised at this. Hopefully Claire will be given sturdy yet stylish footwear in the upcoming "Jurassic World 2."
"Jurassic World 2" is scheduled to hit movie theaters on June 22, 2018.
