Diane Lampert Dies: Songwriter to More Than 20 Movies Passes Away Aged 88
Diane Lampert has died at the age of 88 on Friday. Reports have confirmed that the accomplished songwriter from the 1950s and 1960s died of heart failure and passed away at a Manhattan hospital in New York City.
Lampert is best known for writing the lyrics to title songs for more than 20 movies and for writing numerous songs performed by Brenda Lee, Steve Lawrence, Red Foley, The Lettermen and others.
It was also revealed that Lampert was a on a Beatles song called "Nothin Shakin' (But The Leaves On The Trees)," which in fact was not released until 1994 on "Live At The BBC."

Lampert was born in the Bronx, New York in 1924.
Her career skyrocketed in the 1950s and 1960s by co-writing songs that were performed by a host of top artists.
Lampert's movie credits include the title songs for the films The Snow Queen, I'll Take Sweden, Billie, Silent Running, The Wild and the Innocent, and Trees Lounge.
The accomplished songwriter was well loved by numerous artists, and leaves behind her husband of more than four decades.
She is survived by Stuart, who is the president of Rainbow Music Corp., who was married to her for 45 years.
It has been announced that a memorial service is scheduled for her at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at Riverside Memorial Chapel, according to The Associated Press.
