Director Bobby Farrelly's Son Dies of Suspected Overdose
Jesse Farrelly, 20, son of "Something About Mary" director Bobby Farrelly died of a suspected drug overdose this week.
Police arrived at an apartment in Orange County, Calif., Wednesday night, responding to a call about an "unresponsive young male" who was the victim of a "possible drug overdose."
They rushed Farrelly to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The Orange County coroner completed an autopsy and has ruled out foul play. "We won't know more until we get the toxicology results," the coroner told the Daily News.

Bobby Farrelly and his brother Peter Farrelly are the comedy screenwriting and directing duo behind the classic comedic movies, "Something About Mary," "Dumb and Dumber," "Kingpin," "Shallow Hall" and "Me, Myself and Irene."
The Farrelly family has released a statement saying, "It is with profound sorrow that we accept the passing of our beloved Jesse following his struggle with addiction. We fully trust that he is now in the hands of our Lord."
"We are immeasurably grateful for the abundance of happiness and laughter he brought into our lives, and we will rejoice eternally for all the moments we got to breathe in his wondrous spirit. The family thanks you for your well wishes and kindly asks that you respect our privacy during this difficult time."
Jesse Farrelly who grew up on film sets with his father, attended The University of Arizona for Film. He was trying to establish a career for himself in the industry at the time of his death having worked as a Production Assistant in his father's movies "Hallpass" and the "Three Stooges." He was living in Santa Monica, Calif., before he died.
