'Dissidia Final Fantasy NT' News: See More of 'Final Fantasy 15's' Noctis in Action in a New Gameplay Trailer

Noctis will be using his warp-strike a lot in 'Dissidia Final Fantasy NT'

The main protagonist of "Final Fantasy 15," none other than the Crown Prince Noctis Lucis Caelum himself, was recently announced as a playable character for "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT," and thus far, it looks like he will be a worthy addition to the roster.

Spotted recently by Siliconera, a brief gameplay trailer showcased what Noctis will be capable of inside the upcoming fighting game.

"Final Fantasy 15" players likely will not be surprised by the sight of Noctis flying around at high speeds and landing attacks in quick succession, and he was able to do so thanks to his warp-strike skill.

Noctis is not shy about using this trademark ability of his, and that can turn him into a truly difficult foe to deal with since it may be nearly impossible to escape his attacks once he gets started.

"Final Fantasy 15" players may have also noticed that the way Noctis fights inside "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" closely resembles his preferred style of engaging opponents in the role-playing game and that is no accident. As Siliconera noted, the developers are taking the time to make sure that the Noctis they will feature in the fighting game will be similar to who fans remember him as from the RPG. They have even worked together with some of the folks who contributed to "Final Fantasy 15" to make that happen.

Noctis is the only character from "Final Fantasy 15" to be confirmed for the fighting game thus far, and it is still unclear if there may be others from that title who will be included. It is also still uncertain exactly which character class Noctis belongs to, though that should be revealed soon enough.

"Final Fantasy" fans will be able to play as Noctis and several other characters from the long-running RPG series as soon as "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" is released for the PlayStation 4 on Jan. 30.
