'Doctor Who' Season 8 12th Doctor Spoilers: The New Doctor is 'Older, Fiercer, Madder'
Fans of hit BBC show "Doctor Who" are wonder what the newest doctor will be like. Scottish actor Peter Capaldi has been named the new Doctor during a live show on BBC last night, Sunday, Aug. 4. Recently showrunner Steven Moffat revealed some spoilers about the new doctor.
When speaking to Doctor Who Magazine, Moffat explained that the new doctor will be very different.
"The last two Doctors have been 'your boyfriend' Doctors. It was time for the show to flip around. The new version of the show is quite old now. We're going to give Clara a Doctor who is a much older, fiercer, madder, less reliable Doctor who leads her a merry dance," Moffat said.

Peter Capaldi was cast as the newest doctor in late 2013. The actor was more than pleased to be taking on the role, as he grew up a fan of the show.
"I haven't played Doctor Who since I was 9 on the playground," Capaldi told CNN. "Being asked to play the Doctor is an amazing privilege. Like the Doctor himself I find myself in a state of utter terror and delight. I can't wait to get started," he explained.
Stephen Moffat is quite pleased with Capaldi in the role of the Doctor.
"One of the most talented actors of his generation is about to play the best part on television," Moffat said, according to BBC News.
Moffat auditioned Capaldi through a video taped performance at his home. When Moffat showed the video to others at "Doctor Who" they easily agreed Capaldi should be the next Doctor.
"We made a home video of [Capaldi] being the doctor and I showed it around and everyone said 'yes, that's the Doctor,'" Moffat said.
