'Doctor Who' Season 9 Cast Rumors, Episode 6 Spoilers: Doctor Faces The Highwayman; Maisie Williams Rooted To Replace Jenna Coleman

In this week's episode of the hit TV series from BBC, "Doctor Who" Season 9, the 12th Doctor (Peter Capaldi) will find himself transported back in time in which a band of brigands ruled the street of London. Meanwhile, fan casting updates says Maisie Williams could be the best candidate to replace Jenna Coleman as the Doctor's assistant.

Citing the spoiler reports from ComicBookMovie.com, it appears that the Doctor will once again be confronted with another supernatural being in the person of a "deadly Highwayman," with the monicker of "The Nightmare," along with his sidekick, who stroll and prowl the streets of London to look for some bounty.

However, things begin to go out of proportion for the pair when they come in contact with a loot that is out of this world. Needless to say, the time-traveller should be wary of his steps as he has yet to find out more of the identity of the perpetrator as well as his colleague. Will he, once again, be able to protect Earth from destruction while at the same time avoid the hangman's noose?

Meanwhile, the fans of the cult-classic show were utterly delighted to see Williams in last week's suspenseful and thrilling episode titled "The Girl Who Died" where she played the part of a brave Viking girl named Ashildr.

In her social media, the "Game of Thrones" star revealed how she enjoyed working with Capaldi and Coleman in the show which she called "an iconic series."

The followers themselves are still reeling over her appearance in the show that some of them even went to make a wish that she should be the Doctor's "new companion" when Coleman, the one who is currently playing the part, will leave.

Williams gave an indirect response to the pleading of the public by thanking them for their kind words.

"…I'm glad you enjoyed watching it as much as I enjoyed shooting it," the 18-year-old star said.

For the meantime, "Doctor Who" Season 9 Episode 6 airs this Saturday, Oct. 24, at 8 p.m. on BBC.
