Donald Trump greeted by abortion rights group protest in fundraising event

In an event initiated by Donald Trump on Friday at the home of a local car dealership mogul, supporters greeted the presidential candidate, along with an abortion rights group.

NARAP Pro-Choice Massachusetts, a group that supports abortion rights, became the center of attention, as the group of about two dozen protested outside the home of Ernie Boch Jr., event host.

While Trump has previously insisted that the event wasn't a fundraiser, as believed by many, Christian Miron, the organization's political director, said that they were expecting about 80 protesters to tag along.

"While Donald Trump thinks that running for president is merely his own personal reality TV show, the reality is that women need access to safe, affordable reproductive health care," Miron said in an interview with CNN. "Our goal tonight is to illustrate Trump's very extreme views on women's health because they're very out of step with our core values here in Massachusetts."

Trump later slammed the news outlet, saying, "I don't see many protesters," adding that "CNN is terrible." The business mogul further ranted on the outlet, claiming that his group is not being covered accurately.

The protesting group shared how the issue is about the billionaire's stand on women's reproductive issues. Trump was once an abortion rights supporter, but in a turn of events, the businessman declared that he is now against the abortion of babies, noting that he changed his opinions after being witness of a friend considering abortion then later choosing to keep her baby.

Last month, Trump said he is against abortions, but he is for exceptions in a number of cases such as rape, incest, or when the mother's health is said by doctors to be at risk.

The Republican Party's current front-runner has previously faced questions and criticisms for his opinions on and treatment of women. Fox News host Megyn Kelly asked Trump during the first GOP debate in Cleveland about his past remarks against women.

Quickly relying on his offensive, the candidate said, "I cherish women," and added that his company sports many senior executives who are women, and further noting that they are very well-compensated.
