Donald Trump's RNC 2016 Full Acceptance Speech [VIDEO]: World Reactions

Social media flooded with negative comments from international sources against Donald Trump's acceptance speecj at the RNC 2016.

Donald Trump faced a crowd of thousands at the 2016 Republican National Convention as he accepted his party's nomination as the party's candidate running for President. In his speech, he vowed to rekindle Americanism and to put "America first." The audience clapped and cheered to what his supporters called a "great speech" but not all were impressed.

Trump mainly touched on domestic issues in his speech icing it with patriotic remarks but soon he began to single out China saying that the country was mainly the reason for the decline of the U.S. He pointed out in his speech that this was one of Clinton's administrations' huge mistakes as it supported China's entry into the World Trade Organization. He said he would stop "China's outrageous theft of intellectual property, along with their illegal product dumping, and their devastating currency manipulation." Trump has always targeted China and blamed it for U.S. economic misery.

Just seconds after his speech, a flood of negative comments, mostly coming from international observers, started to pour online.

Former Mexican ambassador to China, Jorge Guajardo reacted to Trump's speech via Twitter saying: "I'm sorry, US. The world is looking tonight at you, you ain't looking good." @jorge_guajardo

To recall, Trump targeted Mexico in a number of his speeches during the campaign trail. He even recommended that U.S. build a wall along its southern borders to keep illegal Mexican immigrants from coming in.

Former World Chess Champion tuned Russian politician Gary Kasparov also reacted to Trump's speech on his Twitter page saying that this was nothing new. "I've heard this sort of speech a lot in the last 15 years and trust me; it doesn't sound any better in Russian." @Kasparov63

Kasparov added: "It's Demagoguery 101. When you don't have actual answers, exaggerate the problems with fear & hatred in order to blind people with emotion." @Kasparov63

Foreign affairs columnist for Wall Street Journal Bret Stephens tweeted, "This speech is a relentless, unyielding, humorless, hectoring appeal to fear and loathing." @StephensWSJ

Josh Rogin @joshrogin was fed up of Trump blaming the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton for ISIS rise in Syria and in Iraq. He tweeted: "Trump wrong again, ISIS did not begin after 2009. They just rebranded from AQI, which started under Bush."

China did not expect Trump's success

Global Times, China's state-run publication mentioned that experts where surprised of Trump's resounding success. "At the beginning, we didn't expect American disgust with Washington and Wall Street to have such a powerful impact on the U.S. general election," deputy director Jin Canrong of the Center of American Studies at the Renmin University of China told Global Times.

Spain and UK reactions

According to Spain's El Pais newspaper, the RNC speech revealed a "grim vision of America." The UK Daily Telegraph mentioned that it was "deeply pessimistic." The paper also described an instant poll made by CNN during the speech "highly critical." The poll reported that about 56% of Americans that watched Trump's speech responded positively.
