'Downton Abbey' Season 6 News, Cast Spoilers: Lady Mary's Love Life in Focus
"Downton Abbey" is airing its last season in the United Kingdom and it seems that it's going to make sure that most of the ladies will find someone to take care of them. According to Mashable, it seems that in the latest episode, Lady Mary seems to making sparks with not only one, but two men.
First would be Branson, who had returned to Downton after an unsuccessful endeavor in the United States. There is somehow a difference in his demeanor on his return that Lady Mary notices. Upon their conversation, it seems that Branson's economical opinions made a significant switch as he shares about how being in the United States has made him a believer of capitalism. However, if there was some sort of spark between him and Lady Mary, it seemed to have quickly died down as Lady Mary has been simply referring to him as "my brother." The dowager also does not approve of Branson as he is far from Earldom.
The second man that may potentially be a more likely candidate as Lady Mary's partner — and who the dowager does approve of — is Lady Shakleton's son, Henry. The race car driver has definitely been eyed by the dowager for Lady Mary as she makes a surprising but amusing double entendre about Henry's current occupation. The dowager is quoted telling her son Robert Crawley, "Mary needs more than a handsome smile and a hand on the gear stick." Henry is apparently not only handsome but by far incredibly confident as well as he hands Lady Mary his card. He then follows with, "Telephone me, we'll have lunch… or a drink... or something…"

This scene is then followed up by Lady Mary's visit to London and a meeting with Henry in a restaurant, where they got to talk about Henry's career choice. At the onset, it seems that the two have met at somehow an impasse, as Lady Mary does not share Henry's same passion with cars. However, it seems that Henry enjoys the assertiveness that Mary is showing and takes this as a challenge instead.
Fans of the series await whether Lady Mary will truly find love with Henry, as the end of the series draws near.
