'Dragon Age: Inquisition' Receiving Last DLC 'Trespasser'

BioWare, the developer of the open world action role-playing game "Dragon Age: Inquisition" is marking the end of further content development with the release of the game's final downloadable content or DLC pack, called "Trespasser." The DLC is available for current generation consoles – the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One – and the PC. It will not be available to last-generation consoles though.

According to a report in Game Spot, the DLC is considered to be an epilogue of the main game as its story happens two years after the events of the main game. The game's creative director, Mike Laidlaw told Game Spot that, "The story explores what it's like to be a world-saving organization when the world no longer needs saving." The Inquisitor is still the main playable character, but the world that they are working in has changed dramatically and their main goal is to "re-establish the authority of the Inquisition."

When the DLC was earlier revealed, it was described as happening at a time when the players need to "meet and talk with old friends" in order to "uncover a new threat." It is also expected to close the book on the story of the Inquisition and hopefully, give fans an idea of the game's future, if any.

Even Laidlaw acknowledges the "end of our time with the Inquistion," referring to BioWare's experience in developing the game.

In another report in the Inquisitr, Laidlaw mentioned that the player's previous decisions during the game will certainly affect which characters return in the "Trespasser." However the player shaped his world early on in the base game will have repercussions on what the "Trespasser" DLC will bring. He said, "For several of the characters, depending on where you took them with their personal plots, they may or may not appear at all. One that leaps to mind: If you didn't really dig into Cole's personality – if he remained a cipher – then he won't appear in this. He won't have that connection that would draw him back to the Inquisitor two years later."

The "Trespasser" DLC is now available for $15, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. It is not yet known if publisher Electronic Arts is looking at developing a fourth installment of the game franchise.
