'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Android 21's Role in the Story Detailed Further

Players will also learn more about Android 21's origin story while playing the game

Of all the characters who will be featured in "Dragon Ball FighterZ," perhaps no one has managed to capture the attention of fans as much as Android 21.

It is actually not that surprising, considering that Android 21 is an entirely new character and that so much about her identity is still being kept under lock and key at this point.

The good news for fans is that the developers talked more about her recently.

During a recent interview with Game Informer, producer Tomoko Hiroki and director Junya Motomura shed more light on this original character, particularly when it comes to her involvement in the story mode and how she actually came to be.

</p><p>First off, Hiroki described Android 21 as a "key player for the story" and as someone who "will get involved with a very surprising aspect" of the tale being told.</p><p>Hiroki then talked about how the story mode involved players being linked to characters such as Goku and how this related to Android 21.</p><script src="https://player.anyclip.com/anyclip-widget/lre-widget/prod/v1/src/lre.js" pubname="christianpostcom" widgetname="0011r00002XMEVu_11109"></script><p>Android 21 does not possess any kind of special power that allows players to link with some of the characters in the game. However, it is her involvement with certain forms of technology that brings about some of the events in the story, Hiroki hinted.</p><p>Android 21 has also been described as an incredibly intelligent character, so she may have discovered something that leads up to these chaotic events taking place inside "Dragon Ball FighterZ."</p><p>Later on in the interview, Hiroki shared why the decision was made to design Android 21 as a female character.</p><p>One of the reasons is because the "Dragon Ball" universe already features quite a few male characters. The other reason is included in the story mode, and it is something players will have to discover for themselves.</p><p>Android 21 is clearly not just some minor character in "Dragon Ball FighterZ,"
