'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Gameplay Video Shows In-Progress Versions of Tien and Yamcha
Tien and Yamcha will be able to use some of their signature techniques in the upcoming fighting game
Tien and Yamcha may not be considered by some as the strongest warriors in the "Dragon Ball" universe, but they can certainly hold their own in battles, even those that will take place inside "Dragon Ball FighterZ."
A new gameplay video that came courtesy of Game Informer previewed the fighting styles of the two characters.
Notably, the versions of Tien and Yamcha featured in the video are still in development, so viewers may notice that a few things are off about them.
Still, there was enough in the video for fighting game fans to chew on.
Starting with Tien, this character can quickly and accurately strike any opponent placed in front of him. He does not last long during the demo battle, but he does execute that familiar Tri-Beam technique of his. In the series, the Tri-Beam attack is considered a risky technique for Tien since it affects his health. The same will apparently hold true inside "Dragon Ball FighterZ" as a chunk of his health disappears after using the aforementioned move.
Notably, Chiaotzu can actually help out Tien inside the game, though the former did not make an appearance in the video above.
Moving on now to Yamcha. He too will be able to use some of his easily recognizable techniques in the upcoming fighting game.
Yamcha's Wolf Fang Fist can be used if players need to cover some distance with an attack. He will also be able to call upon his own version of the Spirit Ball.
Tien and Yamcha may not be the strongest fighters who will be featured in the upcoming game, but they clearly have some interesting techniques. These two characters may not be for everyone, but those who take the time to really study them may be rewarded.
"Dragon Ball FighterZ" is set to be released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in February.
