'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Live Panel to Take Place From Tokyo Game Show on Sept. 23

Japanese voice actor for Android 16 will be on hand during the panel

If the recently concluded closed beta was not enough to tide over fighting game fans craving for more "Dragon Ball FighterZ," then there is some good news for them, as developers are going to talk even more about the game in the very near future.

To be more specific, the game will be front and center once again when the developers take to the Tokyo Game Show stage to host a live panel on Sept. 23, Shoryuken reported.

It is still unclear what the developers are going to share during the live panel, though there will be some notable names present including producer Tomoko Hiroki and Hikaru Midorikawa, the Japanese voice actor for Android 16.

As Shoryuken pointed out, with the voice actor for Android 16 in attendance, that may be a clue that "Dragon Ball FighterZ's" story mode will be fleshed out further since the aforementioned character is expected to have a big role in it.

If fans are looking for more than just game details and are instead itching to play it again, they may have to wait beyond Sept. 23 to get what they want.

Previously, developers announced that there will be another round of testing that will allow fans to experience the game ahead of its official release. Coming sometime in January is an open beta featuring the game, though there is very little known about it thus far. Even an exact start date for the open beta remains unavailable at this point.

Developers did reveal, however, that early access to the open beta will be provided to those who pre-order the game.

Additional details about the open beta should be made available in the near future, and they may even be shared during the upcoming panel.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will be officially released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in February.
