Chiaotzu, Sorbet and Android 17 among the characters who will pop up during certain situations in fights

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will grant players access to numerous familiar characters who have been featured at various points throughout the popular "Dragon Ball" series. Along with those playable characters, there will also be certain individuals who will only show up every now and then but can still leave a lasting impact on a battle.

New details about the characters who will make cameos in the upcoming fighting game were recently included in a Game Informer article.

In the game, there are cameo characters tied to specific members of the roster.

For instance, it was already revealed that Tien will be joined by Chiaotzu even though the latter is not a playable character. Chiaotzu can still help his friend out a lot even if he is not an actual member of the roster. Once Tien calls upon him, Chiaotzu can freeze the opponent onscreen for a moment, allowing the former to get in some strikes and perhaps even some combos.

Android 18 also calls upon another character to deal heavy damage to her enemies inside "Dragon Ball FighterZ." When players use Android 18's three-meter Meteor attack with Krillin in the party, the two of them will work together. If Krillin is not in the party, then Android 17 will be the one who will assist Android 18 instead.

Even the devious Frieza can call upon some assistance in the game. In his case, it will be Sorbet who will be lending a helping hand which comes in the form of a beam attack that can deal a nice chunk of damage.

At this point, it is unclear if there will be other cameo characters featured in the fighting game, so fans will just have to stay tuned to learn more about that.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" is set to be released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One sometime in February.
