'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Numerous Story Mode Details Revealed, At Least Three Scenarios To Be Featured
Different story mode scenarios will link players to different characters
"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will feature its own story mode, and going by what developers have revealed about it thus far, it seems like it will be a meaty component of the upcoming game.
The new story mode's details were included in a recent issue of V-Jump, and the folks over at Shonengamez.com have provided translations of those revelations.
First off, it was revealed that upon starting the game's story mode, players will "awaken" as Goku. To be more specific, the player has been linked to Goku.
As players attempt to understand what is actually going on, they will quickly notice that troubling things are happening. The mighty Z Warriors, and even some of the familiar enemies previously featured in the "Dragon Ball" series, are suddenly and inexplicably losing consciousness and it is up to the player to figure out why those things are taking place.
That will then lead to players starting one of the three story mode scenarios included in "Dragon Ball FighterZ."
In the first scenario, players will be tasked with not only finding out why so many powerful warriors were being rendered unconscious, but also facing off against the clones who have taken their place. The first scenario is also expected to be the main story of the game.
The second scenario is going to be a bit different, as it will involve players linking up with Frieza. Along with learning more about him, the second scenario will also feature some incredible events.
The last of the three confirmed story mode scenarios will link players to Android 18. While going through this one, players may find out more about Android 18, Android 17 and perhaps even Android 21.
It is also possible that more story mode scenarios will be added in the future.
Lastly, the magazine noted that "Dragon Ball FighterZ" is due out in Japan on Feb. 1. An exact release date for the game in North America has not been announced, though it is expected to be set sometime in February as well.
