'Dragon Ball FighterZ' Rumors: What Is Android 21's Role in the Game's Story?
Android 21 to be introduced to fans in the upcoming game
"Dragon Ball FighterZ" is set to feature at least one entirely original character in the form of Android 21. And in the short time she has been known, many fans of the series have already expressed how much they like her.
It is a little surprising to see just how much fans have embraced this new character, mainly because hardly anything is actually known about her.
A new article from Game Informer shed more light on this character and revealed that producer Tomoko Hiroki has referred to her as a "scientist of the Red Ribbon Army."
It is also believed that Android 21 and reluctant antagonist Android 16 share some kind of bond, though more specific details about that relationship remain unknown.
Furthermore, she is also connected to Dr. Gero in some way, and Hiroki hinted that she may even be smarter than the notorious creator of the Androids.
Considering her links to Android 16 as well as Dr. Gero, and because she seems more than happy to flaunt her Red Ribbon Army roots, it would be easy to assume that she will serve as an antagonist in "Dragon Ball FighterZ."
That is still unclear at this point, however, but it does seem safe to assume that Android 21 will not just be some bit player in the game's story.
After all, it is hard to imagine the developers going through the trouble of designing an entirely new character and then giving that individual a minor role.
Perhaps Android 21 is picking up where Dr. Gero left off, which means she too is looking to finally bring down Goku and his friends. It is also possible that Android 21 has a more ambitious plan, one she believes is superior to Dr. Gero's but is similarly intended to destroy Goku.
A lot of things remain unclear concerning Android 21, though fans can expect to learn more about her and the other characters included in "Dragon Ball FighterZ" sometime soon.
