'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' News, Updates: Title Is Free-to-Play for Xbox Live Gold Members This Weekend
The "Dragon Ball" Japanese manga is arguably one of the most famous creations of human imagination that has crossed language borders and endured time, spanning fans from all over the world. Not only has it become a successful anime series, but it has also produced a well-renowned fighting game with "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," and Xbox Live Gold members are getting the title as a special treat this weekend.
According to Bandai Namco community specialist Dmitryi Khlynin, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to play the title for free from 9:00 a.m. PST on Friday, March 3, until 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, March 5. This allows members to try out the game and if they wish to purchase it eventually, the standard edition of the game will be 40% off, while the deluxe edition will be 25% off on the Xbox Store for a limited time.
This is definitely a wonderful treat for Gold members, especially at this time. It can be recalled last Feb. 27 that all players got a free update, which includes new costumes, two Expert Missions against Broly and Janemba, five new attacks and a lot more. This means that Gold members will get to experience the game along with the newly added content, making it a worthwhile experience.
Once players decide to finally purchase the title at a discounted rate, obtaining the season pass would optimize the game even more. This allows access to more playable characters such as Vados and Champa, new story content, more stages and a whole lot more.
For Xbox Live Gold members, the said title is not the only game they can get for free this weekend. The World War I-themed "Battlefield 1" is also free to play at the exact same times as "Dragon Ball Xenoverse," giving more options for loyal players.
Being an Xbox Live Gold member has never been more fun.
