'Dragon Quest Heroes 2' New Characters: Desdemona and Cesar Introduced
March is coming to an end soon, which means "Dragon Quest Heroes" fans are that much closer to the sequel coming out. Recently, two new heroes have been introduced: Desdemona and Cesar.
PlayStation released a second "Meet the Heroes" video that features the two new characters. Desdemona, an "axe-wielding envoy," swoops in just in the time to defend Lazarel and Teresa from an enemy who fell from the sky. The video then shifts to show Desdemona's fighting style, which is supported by her long axe.
The second character, Cesar, is described as "the princely powerhouse" of the game. Dressed in armor and a purple cape, Cesar's weapon of choice is a gigantic sword that allows him to slash at multiple enemies. The final scene shows Cesar coming face to face with Lazarel, Teresa and Desdemona. The three of them prepare to battle against Cesar.

A previous "Meet the Heroes" video was also uploaded by PlayStation. The clip featured the first look at cousins Lazarel and Teresa, who are the game's protagonists. Lazarel is described as "the swashbuckling squire" who carries two swords as his weapons. Teresa, on the other hand, is a "scholarly squire" with a sword and shield. They are accompanied by Healix, a blue "plucky partner-in-slime" who floats and appears to have tentacles of some sort. He is dressed with only a red hat.
The clip previews the two cousins' relationship. Lazarel is the more carefree and fun-loving character, while Teresa is more responsible. Desdemona also makes an appearance in the clip, but her character would only be introduced in the second video. Lazarel and Teresa are also seen fighting enemies as Healix cheers them on.
The upcoming "Dragon Quest Heroes 2," subtitled "The Twin Kings and The Prophecy's End," will be released on the PlayStation 4 and PC on April 25 in the United States.
