'Dragon Quest XI' News: An Announcement Related to the New RPG Is Expected To Be Shared Soon
Rumors hinting that the upcoming 'Dragon Quest XI' announcement could be related to its official release date
More details related to the different features of "Dragon Quest XI" have been coming out recently, serving to give fans a better idea of what to expect. But there's still one bit of valuable information that has remained missing.
That valuable bit of elusive information is none other than the game's exact release date.
Currently, all that's known is that the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS versions of this game will be released this year, but the exact date for when that may happen has remained unknown.
That may change soon, however.
During a recent appearance at Universal Studios Japan for the opening event of a special attraction based on the "Dragon Quest" franchise, series creator Yuji Horii hinted that there may be an announcement related to the upcoming game that is to be shared soon, according to a report from L Maga.
Siliconera provided a translation of the report, and according to it, Horii shared that the developers are working hard on the next installment of the franchise and that there may be an announcement made within the next few days.
Horii did not indicate what this announcement would be about, but the rumors are now hinting that this could be the release date reveal fans have been waiting for.
With the date of the franchise's anniversary, May 27, already creeping closer, the belief is that the developers want to make the game available before or on that day.
Notably, since "Dragon Quest XI" is also being developed for the Nintendo Switch and details about that particular project are not plentiful at this point, perhaps the announcement Horii is referring to could be related to that matter.
In any case, with this announcement already set to be made soon, gamers looking forward to playing "Dragon Quest XI" will be best served to stay tuned and find out what is to be revealed next.
