'Dragon Quest XI' News: One More Character Recently Revealed, the Entertainer Known as Sylvia

Four other party members have previously been revealed for 'Dragon Quest XI'

"Dragon Quest XI" is expected to provide players with that classic role-playing game experience that calls on them to journey across continents while using only a familiar collection of characters. And now, one more of these characters has been officially introduced.

Detailed in the latest issue of the Weekly Jump, fans can now learn more about the traveling entertainer known as Sylvia.

According to a recent report from Siliconera, Sylvia is apparently motivated by the goal of bringing smiles to people's faces all over the world, which would explain why he has taken up the life of a traveling entertainer. Still, there may be something else about Sylvia that is not revealed right at the moment he shows up in the game, and players will have to continue making progress in order to find out more about what that could be.

Sylvia is also described as a party member so he should be able to participate in battles, but exactly how he will do so remains unclear. He is shown holding a musical instrument, however, and perhaps that could be his unconventional weapon of choice inside "Dragon Quest XI."

Along with Sylvia, two other characters were also revealed for the game not too long ago.

Featured in an earlier issue of the Weekly Jump magazine were the characters Veronica and Senya.

A previous report from Gematsu provided translations of the details included in the magazine, and according to them, it appears that Veronica will be capable of using attack spells inside the game.

On the other hand, while Senya may be a magic user as well, her spells may be more focused on providing healing for her allies as opposed to dealing damage to opponents.

Another party member named Camus and the game's protagonist were also introduced previously.

"Dragon Quest XI" is expected to be released in Japan sometime later this year and it will be made playable for the PS4, Nintendo 3DS and the new Nintendo Switch.
