Dragon's Dogma Online News: Confirmed 60FPS on PS4, Open Alpha Test Scheduled in April
The next installment of the "Dragon's Dogma" saga "Dragon's Dogma Online" has been recently confirmed by its developers Capcom that it will play with a 60 frames per second rate on the PlayStation 4. The more exciting piece of news for the game's fans. The game's developers will conduct an open alpha test before the end of April.
"Dragon's Dogma" is a fantasy action role-playing video game developed for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. "Dragon's Dogma Online" is the third game in the series and it will be free to play for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. Its open world gameplay features a wide range of vocations to choose from: Fighter, Strider, Mage, Warrior, Mystic Knight, Ranger, Assassin, Sorcerer and Magic Archer.
According to a report in iDigitalTimes, the new game will feature new vocations, namely Seeker and Sorcerer classes. This was also confirmed in screenshots and gameplay trailers that Capcom had previously shared.
Capcom also announced the conduct of alpha test for the game on the PlayStation 3 platform only. Sign-ups for the limited alpha test started April 7 and accepted testers will be notified after a week on April 15. The test will run from April 20 to 28, to be followed by a published report on the results of the test in the early part of May.
The report says that Capcom intends to conduct its own closed beta tests on the PlayStation and PC platforms after the PS3 alpha test. These tests will reportedly run during summer but there is no word yet on how and where testers can apply for testing slots, if they will be opened up.
Capcom has not yet given an official release date for the game, which it says will be released within 2015 in Japan. No official word about when it will be released for other parts of the world.
