'Dream Festival! R' Episode 4 Spoilers: Sankishi to Take Center Stage; Will Yuto Ever See Ryo Again?

It may have taken a while and a few punches exchanged by the riverbank, but KUROFUNE's Keigo and Yuto has finally managed to reconcile their differences and stand together once again on stage. What new challenges await this idol duo on the Japanese anime series, "Dream Festival! R"?

This week's episode picked up on the rather heartbreaking conclusion of last week's installment, with Keigo giving Yuto the cold shoulder and even deliberately missing a scheduled magazine interview.

So when the Jimusho warned Yuto about the possible consequences of Keigo's actions, should the latter continue skipping on his idol duties, Yuto made the decision to finally open up to his partner about Ryo.

It turned out Yuto grew up in a sheltered environment, focusing on nothing but his studies. A street musician named Ryo offered him a respite from his dull life and even taught him to make music by playing the guitar.

It was before their paths separated that Yuto promised Ryo that they would one day finish their song. In the end, Yuto's song did become KUROFUNE's next song, and a satisfied Ryo, from a yet undisclosed location, actually managed to hear Yuto's music.

But will Yuto even find out that he has finally achieved his goal of letting his old friend hear his music? Will Ryo ever decide to come back home to Japan to personally congratulate him?

The preview for the next episode reveals that these questions may not be answered anytime soon since the series will be focusing on the three-man unit known as Sankishi.

The group, consisting of Haruto, Makoto, and Ichika, is an anime original unit that rose to fame for their legendary "night of a million cheers." Since then, they have become every other unit's inspiration to strive harder to either follow their footsteps or surpass their successes.

Advanced digital distribution of "Dream Festival! R" is on Wednesdays on various online streaming platforms including Crunchyroll. The series is scheduled to air on television on Friday, Oct. 6, on Tokyo MX and BS11. Information on other schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site.
