Duggar Family News: Is Jessa Duggar-Seewald The 'Mean Girl' in The Family?

The Duggars might be known for being a fun, kind-hearted family, but fans have singled out Jessa Duggar-Seewald as the mean one in the bunch.

Reports claimed that those who have been following the large family's journey since they appeared in "19 Kids and Counting" have observed that the 24-year-old daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar has the tendency to be bossy and controlling. Even her siblings seemed to think so as well.

A report from InTouch Weekly cited an excerpt from the book "Growing Up Duggar" that was written by the four eldest Duggar girls Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar-Dillard, Jessa, and Jinger Duggar-Vuolo that Jessa can be a bit overbearing. According to the eldest daughter Jana, Jessa used to be mean to her as a child since she did not want to listen to the rules that she set.

Another report from People back in March 2015 revealed that her father Jim Bob described her as a "strong-willed" and a "handful" child, while her younger siblings had a "healthy fear of her" when they were growing up.

The fans also took their observations about Jessa's rudeness on social media, after Jessa posted a video of her sons Spurgeon Elliot and Henry Wilberforce playing on a mat on her Instagram account.

Some fans argued that Jessa should not allow her kids to wrestle yet since they are only one-year-old and seven-months-old respectively. Others, on the other hand, pointed out that Jessa's husband Ben Seewald might have nothing to say about how they should be disciplining their boys since she was the one who rules the house.

According to one fan, it can be seen on their TLC reality show "Counting On" that Ben is attempting to discipline their eldest Spurgeon but Jessa gets in the way and undermines him. Another claimed that Ben is starting to look sad because of his wife's dominance.

Jessa and the rest of the Duggars have yet to react to reports about her "mean girl" demeanor. But the family's adventures can be seen in the latest installment of "Counting On" on TLC every Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT.
