Duggar Family News: Joseph and Kendra Romance Begins in 'Counting On,' Pair Talks Wedding Excitement, Their First Kiss in New Clips
Fans who follow the Duggar family know that Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell are already married, but in "Counting On," their romance is just blossoming.
The latest episode of the TLC reality series followed the two go on their first date. In true Duggar fashion, they were accompanied by chaperones. In this case, Joseph's younger brother James and Jackson, aka the chaperone in training, take on that duty.
For their first outing together for the courtship, the couple decided to go rollerblading, which is something that Caldwell admits she has not done for a while, worried she will look like "a giraffe on the wheels."
Caldwell also explained in the "Counting On" episode how much her family and the Duggar family are alike when it comes to courtship.
My modesty standards are very similar to the Duggars' standards. Wearing skirts down to below our knee, wearing sleeves on our shirts and then pretty high necklines.
Joseph and Caldwell exchanged vows earlier this month at the First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. This is almost four months after their engagement. Talking to People about tying the knot, the latest Duggar newlywed said:
It is an amazing feeling to be husband and wife. It's something that I've always dreamed of — to have a wife and to raise a family in a way that honors the lord. We are to very excited to see what God has in the future for us.
A new video released by TLC shows the couple talking about their excitement about the wedding rehearsal, saying that they are more thrilled than nervous. They also talked about one thing that they are anticipating.
"I am looking forward to kiss," Caldwell said with a laugh as she looked at her husband-to-be. "I guess that's one highlight of the day," Joseph agreed.
In another video, the couple showed off their chemistry by working together in the kitchen to whip up some oatmeal cookies, which happens to be one of Joseph's favorites.
