Duggar Family News, Update: Jessa and Ben Seewald Holds Baby Shower Party
It has been a fun-filled party for Jessa and her husband, Ben Seewald, as they celebrated the coming of their baby who they reportedly like to call "Quincy."
The news come from several media outlets like the USMagazine.com, who claim to have exclusive intel on the fall-themed baby shower which took place in Highfill, Arkansas this past week, Oct. 15.
According to the publication, the party saw the attendance of "100-plus" guests with the numbers including that of Ben and other men in their family. The site's sources explained that Jessa and her husband wanted the celebration to be "family style" and "guy-friendly" that's why they included men in the invitation list.
As further detailed, the evening was filled with a lot of exciting activities. They held a contest for the ladies in which they raced against each other to change a diaper on a baby doll all while their eyes are closed. UsMagazine said that it was the "19 Kids and Counting" star who won the competition.
The other contest involved the men, including Jessa's husband who came up with the idea to have him and three of his friends race against the clock to make "the best baby food."
Provisions partaken during the party were said to be made by the guest themselves who, as further divulged by the source, cooked their own hot dogs. For dessert, they shared some "amazing pumpkin cake balls" and also ate pumpkin and pecan pies.
Instead of bringing traditional baby shower gifts, the 22-year-old and her husband opted have their visitors write a "prayer of blessing" which they would treasure.
The party ended with everyone gathering around and praying for the couple and their upcoming bundle of joy.
The Duggar clan member and her husband first told the public about the pregnancy back in April. Jessa is expected to deliver the baby boy or girl along the first week of November.
Mr. and Mrs. Seewald are meanwhile expected to be featured in the new, three-part specials from TLC which airs by the end of 2015.
