'DWTS' News: Jodie Sweetin Sweeps Audience with Pink's 'Try' Despite Ankle Injury
No one knows the feeling of victory after trying so hard than Jodie Sweetin as she returned to "Dancing With the Stars" on Monday and gained the respect of not only the judges but also the audience.
According to E! News, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Toniolo showered praises on the routine. She walked out of the stage with a score of 25 over 30 and the respect of viewers, fans, and her co-workers who know so well that she struggled over the past days due to several injuries.
A spokesperson for the hit dance show said when news emerged about Sweetin's injury that she "hurt her foot [Wednesday] rehearsing for Monday's show." Aside from hurting her foot, the pressure was on top of the competition as she and her partner had to recreate amazing performances.
Entertainment Tonight says Sweetin had to be brought to the hospital after pro partner Keo Motsepe accidentally fell back on her. She also almost broke her nose during rehearsals though luckily, it wasn't as big an injury as the one she had on her ankle.
The outlet also says the pair had to re-invent the initial moves that they were planning for the routine as they were thinking of putting less strain on the Sweetin's injury. Despite the bad week, she returned to the dance floor and gave Pink's "Try" a "wonderful interpretation, as put to words by Tonioli.
In her weekly blog for People, Sweetin shared how she felt extreme pain when she fell and thought that she was done with the competition. However, she said on the blog written before the Monday's competition that she was planning to be careful so she won't jeopardize her chance of staying on the dance floor.
Fortunately, Sweetin didn't seem to be in pain all throughout the performance and with Motsepe, the pair conquered Pink's amazing number.
