'DWTS' Season 25 Latest News: Nikki Bella, Vanessa Lachey Eliminated on Halloween Show
"Dancing With the Stars" definitely caught everyone off guard on Halloween/Double Dance as they surprised fans as well as the participants about the double elimination.
A double elimination is inevitable in this competition, but no one saw it happening on Halloween night. Even the bottom two Vanessa Lachey and Nikki Bella were surprised when Erin Andrews and Tom Bergeron did not announce either of their names. "You're both going home," they said.
The moment was quite the surprise that their parting from the show seemed more comical than depressing. Vanessa and Nikki were not even able to bid their respective partners, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Artem Chigvinstev, good bye because of how random the situation appeared.
Another pair that surprised viewers was Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson, whose intense choreography was rewarded with a perfect score. Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold did not hold back either. Their number also deserved a 30/30 score.
Moreover, an injured Lindsey Stirling and partner Mark Ballas almost managed to snag a perfect score. She suffered a rib injury on Sunday after attempting to do a "rapid dance move."
She was rushed to the hospital shortly after. The injury was undoubtedly a painful one, which could have easily forced her to forfeit. But Stirling, one of the top contenders of season 25, did not and she can still win this. Just last week she received a perfect score for her performance.
"Dancing With the Stars" is only a few weeks away from crowning this season's champion. After the competition, the professional dancers will embark on a tour across the U.S.
"Dancing with the Stars Live!: Light Up the Night" is expected to kick off on Dec. 30. Tour details should be posted on the official website, DWTSTour.com.
"Dancing With the Stars" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
