'Dynamic Chord' Episode 2 Spoilers: Is KYOHSO's End a Reality or Just Mere Gossip?

Being an idol is hard enough without the added complication of being in a group with conflicted members. Can popular idol group KYOHSO pull through their latest burden brought on by their absentee member on the Japanese anime series, "Dynamic Chord"?

Out of the four top idol groups being managed by the production group, Dynamic Chord, there is no doubt that KYOHSO is the most popular. So, when their lead singer, Yorito, stopped showing up for practice, this became a cause of concern for the agency, who, in turn, asked Reon of the newer group, rêve parfait, to temporarily lend his vocals to KYOHSO during practice.

This seemed to be a good change of phase for the idol who has been worried that doing commercials and other promotional jobs would end up tarnishing their reputations in the long run. Therefore, he accepted, but he was also not counting on the possibility that Yorito may no longer be returning to the band for good.

What happens now that Yorito's retirement from the band seems to have been announced on one of the leading music magazines? Will this unexpected turn of events force Reon to choose between staying with rêve parfait or transferring to the more popular KYOHSO?

Could this really be the end for KYOHSO, or was the magazine report nothing but mere tasteless gossip?

The preview for the next episode, titled "Unreachable Wish," shows a conflicted Reon seemingly torn by what would perhaps be one of the most life-changing decisions he would ever have to make. Will he decide to leave his own band or end up doing something instead to bring Yorito back to his?

"Dynamic Chord" airs on Thursdays late night at 1:58 a.m. JST on TBS and on Fridays late night at 3:09 a.m. JST on CBC. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official TBS page.
