'Dynasty' Season 1 Spoilers: The Carringtons Play Nice When They Become Murder Suspects
The upcoming episode of "Dynasty" season 1 will see the Carrington family trying to keep it together when they become suspects of a potential murder.
The synopsis of the next episode, titled "Spit It Out," states that Cristal (Nathalie Kelley) and Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) must play nice to make sure the Carrington family name does not get besmirched.
It can be recalled that Cristal's married boyfriend, Matthew (Nick Wechsler), died in the premiere episode of the series — conveniently at a Carrington Atlantic job site. The next episode will reveal that Matthew's death may not have been accidental at all, which will point the blame on the Carringtons. And while the family members will try their best to get along and protect their name, the drama will reach its climax at Matthew's funeral.
A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released. It opens with Blake (Grant Show) throwing his glass and hitting the fireplace. Fallon quips that he missed his target, but it is evident from Blake's facial expression that he is not there to joke around.
The clip briefly shows a glimpse of Carrington Manor being surrounded by reports and the police, presumably because of their potential involvement in Matthew's death.
At a family meeting, Blake tells everyone that they "need to protect [the] family." Cristal points out that he probably means "our business," to which both Blake and Fallon retort, "same thing."
The reboot certainly shares a lot of the same themes with the original 1980s series. However, the catfights between women will not all be physical in this iteration.
"We still have the fights, but I think we're freer to be more creative with this rivalry now because Cristal and Fallon are modern, working women," Gillies told E! News, revealing that some fights will be fought in the boardroom instead of physically pushing and pulling each other's hairs out.
"Dynasty" season 1 airs Wednesdays, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
