E3 2017 Dates, Details, News: Microsoft Xbox Unveils E3 Plans
This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo is going to happen on June 13 to 15 in Los Angeles, and industry leader Microsoft has already revealed some of its plans - much to the excitement of its fans.
Microsoft will of course showcase their popular Xbox consoles during the event. In fact, Xbox marketing manager Aaron Greenberg announced through a tweet that the company is planning to hold an Xbox Fan Fest during the upcoming E3 event. Greenberg, however, did not provide any other details but only told fans that they will share more about it soon.
Xbox Fan Fests are a regular thing for events such as the E3 and Gamescom. The gathering is a community-based one which aims to give fans special opportunities in celebration of the Xbox's success. Now that the E3 2017 is going public, many fans may finally experience this for the first time.
Furthermore, the company is expected to unveil more about the Xbox Project Scorpio during the event. Microsoft Xbox also announced through another tweet that their E3 2017 briefing will begin airing on June 11, at 5 p.m. EDT.
This briefing, as fans speculate, might be the moment when Project Scorpio will officially be unveiled and shown off to the public, considering that the next-gen console is already scheduled for release during the holidays.
Aside from Xbox and Project Scorpio details, Microsoft is also expected to give an update about the upcoming survival game "State of Decay 2," which is already slated for a 2017 release.
The E3 2017 is the first E3 event which is officially open to the public. There are 15,000 available tickets which are now being sold at $250 each. This is part of the Entertainment Software Association's efforts to finally bring fans and game creators closer together, after its public segment during last year's E3 event proved to be highly successful.
